 Auditions for Ladies in Lavender

They saved a stranger from the sea, he stole their hearts.
Ladies in Lavender is a play about two elderly sisters finding a stranger washed up on the beach. They rescue him and nurse him back to health.
This is the stage adaptation of the film written and directed by Charles Dance and starring two great Dames – Maggie Smith and Judi Dench.
This will be the spring production from The Seagull Theatre Club for 3 nights at The Seagull starting on Thursday 29th March.
Characters in the play are as follows:
Janet Widdington – one of the two sisters (older and more domineering). Acting age 50+
Ursula Widdington – younger sister. Acting age 50+
Dorcas – maid. Any playing age
Andrea – young Polish violinist, rescued by the sisters. Playing age 20+ (A violin playing actor would be amazing!)
Olga, an artist who later takes Andrea to London. Grows close to Andrea. Playing age 25+
Dr Mead – local doctor. Any playing age
AUDITIONS ARE WEDNESDAY 29TH NOVEMBER 2017 AT 6.30PM IN STUDIO 3 AT THE SEAGULL. DO NOT WORRY ABOUT PREPARING ANYTHING. PLEASE JUST TURN UP.
